OUR ADMISSIONS POLICY
There are four programs under the A Child's Place umbrella.
First Steps is a full-time, 12 month program with four age levels:
• Infants (AGE: born 2023)
• Young Toddlers (AGE: born 2022)
• Toddlers (AGE: born 2021)
• Preschoolers (AGE: born 2020 or 2019)
The 10 Month Program is a school year program with three age levels:
• Toddlers (AGE: 2 years by December 31)
• Threes (AGE: 3 years by December 31)
• Preschool (AGE: 4 years by December 31)
• Preschool (AGE: 5 years by December 31)
OUR ADMISSIONS PROCESS
The admissions process for the 10 Month and First Steps Programs begins in October and February for our Summer Program. There are five “tiers” within the admissions process. These tiers define the order of priority of admissions into ACP programs. In the event that spaces are oversubscribed for any tier, lotteries will be held to allocate space and create wait lists. All final placements are at the sole discretion of the Executive Director. Applicants will know their status of enrollment within 2 days of the tier application due date.
1. Children continuing in their current program and staff children - these children are guaranteed space in the next level.
2. Children who would like to switch between programs and staff children- if no space is available in the requested program, a space in the current program is guaranteed.
3. Siblings of children currently enrolled program.
4. Alumni child at ACP.
5. 2022-2023 Waitlist Children and Children who have attended our Summer Program.
6. Children in the community who wish to join a program for the first time.
We are currently scheduling tours for the 2023-2024 school year. Please contact us to schedule an appointment.
